The Parish Council ‘s recent initiatives include:
Support for a new Community Beekeeping Group. Seed funds were provided to provide bees, hives and equipment as well as training for the group.

Rewilding Area: the long verge on the edge of the Rec is left uncut for much of the growing season. Three individual areas have been stripped of grass and sown with a wild flower mix.
Cemetery: bat and bird boxes have been installed. A compost bin is provided for spent flowers and loose brush is kept in piles to provide a haven for insects and small mammals.
