Volunteering Opportunity!
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our new initiative Cemetery Companions, dedicated to maintaining and enhancing our cemetery on Mill Lane. With spring around the corner, this is a wonderful opportunity for residents to lend a hand assisting our Cemetery Warden, enjoy the outdoors, and contribute positively to our village community.
Being a Cemetery Companion not only makes a tangible difference to our village but also provides a chance to spend time outside which can boost mental health and well-being. There is something deeply satisfying about working together and giving back to the community, especially in such a peaceful and beautiful setting.
Tasks include general tidying of fallen leaves and twigs, maintaining benches, planting bulbs, pruning roses, light weeding, and removing flowers and wreaths that are past their best. All help is greatly appreciated, whether you can spare a few hours or help us more regularly.
If you are interested in becoming a Cemetery Companion, please contact the Parish Clerk: Liz Hart clerk@kingssutton-pc.gov.uk
Together, we can ensure King’s Sutton Cemetery remains a place of beauty and reflection for all.
